Un cáncer incurable invade el cuerpo del físico nuclear Arthur Zenning. De inmediato, el científico renuncia a la jefatura de la Comisión de Energía Nuclear de su país, dispuesto a disfrutar los días de vida que le quedan junto a Sara y de todas las cosas que desdeñó por estar sumergido en sus investigaciones.
Pero una cosa piensa Zenning y otra el Estado. Luego del diagnóstico de su enfermedad, lo visitan en su casa los generales Inra y Médoc, para comunicarle la decisión tomada por las autoridades del poder político: es importante para la patria que les provea de sus experimentaciones.
An incurable cancer invades the body of the nuclear physicist Arthur Zenning.
